About Pharmanex
Pharmanex was founded in 1994 by Michael Chang, PhD (Deputy Medical Director of Merck, Sharp and Dohme), Joseph Chang, PhD. (Head of R&D at Wyeth-Ayerst Labs; Invented one of the leading drugs used in organ transplants) and Carl Djerassi, PhD (Inventor of the Birth Control drug).
The BioPhotonic scanner utilizes Noble Prize Winning Science from 1930 (Broad Spectrum Raman Spectroscopy). The National Institute of Health funded the development of this science through grants at the University of Utah and was successful in its creation. Pharmanex bought the exclusive rights to this technology and has a global patent for intellectual property and protection. Pharmanex spent over $100 million to bring this technology to market.
10 year study from the Yale School of Public Health validated the claims of the technology and Stanford has conduct research as well; 3 of these devices are currently operating at Texas Institute of Public Health and 85 peer-reviews published studies utilizing this technology have been conducted.
